The story revolves around SP Diana Joseph, who captures members of the Sikka Gang and seizes a large amount of cocaine worth 1,000 crores. An undercover officer, Abbas Ali aka Raunak, helps Diana by giving information about the co-leader of the gang, Ashwathama (Ashu). However, Ashu seeks help from corrupt NCB officer Devraj Subramaniam, who adds rohypnol to the drinks of the police officers at the farewell party of IG Jayant Malik. Everyone except Diana falls unconscious, and Bholaa, a prisoner who has just been released, agrees to drive the sedated officers to the hospital and then to Laalganj police station.
Meanwhile, Ashu hires a bounty hunter to attack Diana and her team, and Bholaa, along with Joseph and Kadchi, is attacked by various gangs. Bholaa reveals his fighting powers and kills all the goons, and Ashu sends his gang to attack the police station to free his brother Nithari. A new inspector, Angad Yadav, is assigned by Joseph to defend the police station.
After Ashu and his gang try to breach the police station, they are arrested by Yadav and the students. However, Chetan is strangled to death by Ashu’s gang with a lasso through a window, and Yadav kills Ashu in retaliation. An ambulance finally arrives, and Bholaa shares his story with Kadchi about how he fell in love with a doctor named Swara and gave up his gangster life before she was killed by a ruthless gang leader named Chomu.
Bholaa later regains consciousness and single-handedly kills the whole gang, including Deep Singh, using the Trident of Lord Shiva. He is reunited with his daughter Jyoti and drives off happily with Kadchi and a puppy. In a mid-credits scene, Chomu Singh learns about Bholaa’s release and decides to destroy him.

Bholaa is an action-packed masala entertainer directed by Ajay Devgn, who also plays the lead role of Bholaa, a mysterious ex-convict with exceptional driving skills. IPS Diana Joseph, played by Tabu, captures a huge amount of cocaine from the Sikka gang, led by Nithari (Vineet Kumar) and his crazy brother Ashwathama (Deepak Dobriyal). Ashwathama traps Diana’s colleagues with drugs, forcing her to transport them to a hospital with the help of Bholaa. The film’s narrative relies heavily on VFX-filled action sequences, which are the soul of the film, while the love track and father-daughter subplot add unnecessary clutter. The performances are commendable, with Ajay Devgn’s silent hero act, Tabu’s mind-blowing action scene, and Deepak Dobriyal’s quirky portrayal of Ashwathama standing out. Overall, Bholaa is recommended only for those who have an appetite for loud masala entertainers, with a runtime of 144 minutes.
